WEBSITES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Websites thatwin youlocal work.

We build and rebuild websites for small businesses. Five we have built are linked below, all live, so you can check us before you reply.

FIVE LIVE SITES BELOW

You are probably here because we called or emailed you. Fair enough. Everything on this page is checkable, starting with five real sites we built for real businesses. Open any of them.

01

Open them. That is the point.

Five real businesses, five live sites. Each opens in a new tab, and the full address is printed underneath so you can type it in yourself rather than click a link on a page you have just landed on.

Two things you will notice, so we will say them first

These addresses end in .vercel.app rather than a name of their own. That is the hosting address a site lives on before its owner points their own domain at it. Yours would be your own name, and we set that up for you.

Four of these five are in the wedding trade, three of them bridal makeup. The fifth is a sweet shop. Not one is a plumber or a roofer. If you are a trade it is the same job, but we would rather say that plainly than let you work it out and wonder what else we left out.

Also built, our own projects

These are ours, not client work. We build them to try things out. Included so you can see the range, and labelled so you are not left guessing.

02

Why you heard from us.

We get in touch when we can see something specific. It is usually one of these. Any of them sound familiar?

You have no website at all, and people looking for you find your competitors instead.
You have one, but on a phone it is tiny, sideways, or you have to pinch to read it.
It takes so long to load that people give up before it appears.
Your prices, hours or phone number on it are out of date and you cannot change them yourself.
Whoever built it has vanished, and nobody can get into it.
It looks dated next to the businesses you compete with for the same customers.

What we actually do, in plain words

No jargon. If we ever use a word you do not know, stop us and make us say it again.

  • Build you a website if you do not have one.
  • Replace a website that is broken, slow, or embarrassing.
  • Make it work properly on a phone, because that is where your customers already are.
  • Put your phone number, hours and address one tap away.
  • Set up a contact or booking form that emails you the moment someone fills it in.
  • Set up an online shop if you sell things.
  • Sort your Google Business Profile, if you can give us access.
  • Keep it running, change your prices when you change them, and pick up the phone.

What we do not do: We will not promise you the top spot on Google, because nobody honest can.

03

Prices. On the page. In numbers.

Most small business sites are one of these three. If yours is not, we quote it properly, and the quote costs you nothing.

Looking after it

$45 / month

Updates, changes, backups and someone to ring. Optional, and you can stop it whenever you like.

Every price is the whole build, set up and taken live. Hosting and your domain name are separate and we will tell you exactly what they cost. We also quote in pounds, euros and Australian dollars.

04

What happens after you reply.

  1. 01
    A short call, fifteen minutes.

You tell us what your business does and what the site needs to say. No charge, no obligation.

  2. 02
We send a fixed price and a plan, in writing.

You read it in your own time. Nobody rings you three times that week.

  3. 03
You pay half up front and we build a first version.

We send you a link and you look at it on your own phone, on your own time.

  4. 04
You tell us what to change and we change it.

Two rounds of changes are included, and in practice we rarely count.

  5. 05
It goes live on your domain, in your name.

Then you pay the other half. Most sites are done inside two to three weeks.

You can stop after step two and owe us nothing.

The boring parts, in plain English

  • You own it. The domain is registered in your name and the website is yours.
  • If you leave us, you keep everything. We hand over the files and the logins and hold nothing back.
  • No long contract. Nothing renews unless you say yes to it.
  • The price is agreed in writing before we start. It does not move unless you ask for something new.
  • We do not take payment over the phone. You get a proper invoice with our details on it.
05

Do not take our word for any of it.

A call or an email out of the blue deserves suspicion. Here is how to satisfy yourself without trusting a single thing we have written.

  1. 01
    Open the five sites above.

Type the addresses in by hand if you would rather. Look at whether they load, whether they work on your phone, and whether they read like a real business.

  2. 02
Ask for the quote in writing before you agree to anything.

We will send it, and the price will not move unless you ask for something new.

  3. 03
Search your own business name and look at what we saw.

If your site is missing, broken, or unreadable on a phone, that is why you heard from us.

What we will never do

  • We will never ask for your card number, your bank details, or a code sent to your phone.
  • We will never ask for your website or email passwords in order to give you a quote.
  • We will never ask for payment on the first call.
  • We will never tell you your site has been hacked and that you must pay today.

If someone says they are from We Sort Sites and does any of that, it is not us. Email us and we will tell you straight.

06

Questions we get on the phone.

How did you get my number?

It is published. We look for small businesses whose website is missing or broken, through public listings and ordinary searching. If you would rather not hear from us again, reply once and say so and we will take you off the list for good.

Who will I actually be dealing with?

Afthab, who you can reach directly at afthab@wesortsites.com. Not a call centre and not an account manager. The person who answers is the person who builds it.

Are you a big company?

No. We are small, and that is rather the point: you deal with the people doing the work, not somebody who passes you on and adds their margin.

What if I already have a website?

We will look at it and tell you honestly whether it needs replacing or just fixing. Sometimes the answer is that it is fine and you should keep your money.

Can I see it before I pay in full?

Yes. You see it, you use it, and you approve it before it goes live.

What if I have no photos?

We can build around that. We will tell you the handful of photos that would help most, and how to take them on your phone.

How long does it take?

A one page site is usually about a week. A standard site is two to three weeks from the first call. A shop takes longer, and we will tell you how long before you pay anything.

07 · GET IN TOUCH

Tell us what you need. One line is enough.

You are not committing to anything by getting in touch.

We use this to reply to you and nothing else. How we handle your details.
